Immersive Bent's Old FortUSA National Park Service

United States National Park Service

Founded in 1916, the National Park Service has been entrusted with the care of United States national parks. These historic and cultural sites span millions of miles of land and attract more than 318 million visitors every year, making them vital to the American experience. With more than 20,000 employees, the National Park Service is a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Interior and is led by a Director nominated by the President and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. The Director is supported by senior executives who manage national programs, policy, and budget in the Washington, DC, headquarters and seven regional directors responsible for national park management and program implementation.

Since 2014 the Immersive Education Initiative has worked directly with the United States National Park Service to "Bring the Past To Life" through immersive culture and history projects and activities. These unique projects and activities occur through iED Clubs and Camps that work closely with National Park Service rangers and administrators.
