Developed by the MIT Media Lab’s Lifelong Kindergarten Group, Scratch has a proven history of teaching children mathematical and computational concepts while they learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively in a fun and exciting manner.
Two renditions of Scratch are available, targeting different age groups and learning levels:
Scratch Junior is an iPad app designed especially for young learners (kindergarten through 2nd grade) and those with limited reading skills. Currently Scratch Junior is available for the Apple iPad, with a version for Android coming soon. You can access Scratch Junior here.
Scratch is designed for learners having the ability to read at a 3rd grade level or higher. Scratch will run on most desktop and laptop computers purchased within the past 3 to 5 years. You can access Scratch here.

iED Scratch after-school, lunchtime and weekend (and summer) clubs and camps teach young learners how to program and think logically as they create their very own video games, interactive stories, living cartoons and animations.
