After more than a decade of in-person iED clubs and camps, the Immersive Education Initiative is proud to announce the first in a series of fully immersive online camps that may be attended by learners located anywhere in the world.
Students and instructors meet in online Immersive Learning Spaces
To celebrate Immersive Education's very first fully immersive camps, the inaugural camps will be taught this year by Boston College Professor and Immersive Education Initiative director Aaron E. Walsh. An award-winning educator, Prof. Walsh has transformed the following Boston College courses into immersive online camps that are specially designed for pre-teens and teenagers:
These specially designed camps, detailed here, are open to pre-teens (ages 9 to 12) and young adults between the ages of 13 to 18.

About iED Spaces
Immersive Education Learning Spaces (iED Spaces) are three-dimensional learning environments that enable students, teachers and learning pods (groups) to meet together in private and secure learner-themed virtual spaces. iED Spaces can be entered using desktop and laptop computers, tablets and mobiles phones, and Virtual Reality headsets. These unique and deeply engaging learning environments are used to remotely teach classes, conduct tutoring sessions, assemble study groups, and facilitate cultural exchanges and related social activities.
Developed by the Immersive Education Initiative (iED, the world's foremost experts in immersive technology for education since 2005, the Immersive Education for Remote Learners program provides students and teachers with the training and equipment necessary to Connect, Engage, Enable and Encourage (CEEE) remote learners via Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). Prof. Walsh will personally teach the camps entirely in Immersive Education Learning Spaces (iED Spaces), applying the same immersive learning technology and techniques that he uses to teach his Boston College students.
