Italian Ministry of Education collaboration with the Immersive Education Initiative (iED).
The Italian Ministry of Education and the international Immersive Education Initiative officially established a formal collaboration, starting in 2007, to co-organize the recently established IMMERSIVE ITALY conference series that addresses the personal, cultural and educational impact of immersive technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), video games, 3D printing, drones, robots, and fully immersive environments such as caves, domes and planetariums.
The collaboration featured the first international usage of Knowledge Token® (Knowken®), the incentive and reward program token that is awarded to learners in exchange for intellectual achievements.

Immersive Education Initiative, the world's foremost experts in immersion and immersive technology, is a non-profit international collaboration of educational institutions, research institutes, museums, consortia and companies.
